- From Paris, 80 km: A1 motorway, exit no. 9 towards Compiègne Sud; at the entrance to Compiègne, follow directions for Soissons
- From Lille, 150 km: A1 motorway, exit no. 10 at Arsy
There is a car park located at Place du Général de Gaulle which can be used for free within the limit of available spaces.
By train :
- SNCF Paris: trains departing from the Gare du Nord (40 min to 1 hour 20 min journey depending on the train); all timetables available at voyages-sncf.com
The castle is located 10 minutes on foot from the station. Compiègne’s local council provides a number of free buses (line 1 or 2 from the train station, stop at Saint Jacques) which run from Monday to Saturday.
